Dottie's True Blue Cafe/Tenderloin

Pros: A veritable breakfast destination
Cons: Curbside waiting in an iffy neighborhood
Best For: Comfort morning food

Dottie's True Blue Cafe

Daily blackboard specials add to the already extensive menu, satisfying hoards of egg-eaters from early morning through late afternoon. The funky, small room with counter seating and a sprinkling of tables, is usually chock full of tourists, bulk loading in preparation for a full day of exploration. If the line snakes down the street, it's par for the course and most folks are not deterred.

Make room for good-sized portions of your favorite wake-up repast.

Noteworthy: Real maple syrup served here.
