Plow/Portrero Hill

Pros: A fine breakfast will be had by all
Cons: No parties greater than six, please
Best For: "The Plow", comfort foodie heaven

Plow Plow is Portrero Hill's breakfast gem, a former architect's studio with beautiful large windows and a room full of salvaged materials such as tables made from French oak barrels.

Now for the food: Dirty Girl Produce, Acme Bread and Petaluma Egg Farm, are just a few of the purveyors, supplying Plow with the freshest of ingredients. With no reservation system, a wait is likely at prime dining times, but it's worth it.

If in doubt and in need of something akin to mom's special Sunday morning breakfast, order "The Plow" a hearty plate of 2 fresh farm eggs any style, choice of Nueske bacon, house made pork sausage, or chicken apple sausage, 2 delectable pancakes and crispy potatoes done with finesse.

Noteworthy: Real maple syrup served here.
