Bi-Rite Creamery/Mission

Pros: Artisanal ice cream made in small batches
Cons: Very little seating available
Best For: Flavor, texture and unusual ingredients

Bi-Rite Creamery

Bi-Rite Creamery might have a line around the block at 9pm, for a reason. Ice creams are made with Strauss Family Dairy ingredients and all packaging is biodegradable. Small-batch artisanal ice creams and sorbets, homemade popsicles such as lime/blackberry, and the best old style organic sugar cones from your childhood, keep folks streaming in. Local roaster, Ritual Coffee supplies the coffee for Bi-Rite's coffee toffee ice cream and the almond toffee is made in the shop. Organic dried lavender and honey from Sonoma comprise the fragrant honey/lavender blend, a real crowd favorite.

Noteworthy: Walk over for dessert after dining in one of the many great restaurants on Valencia Avenue in the Mission.
