Farmstead Restaurant/St. Helena

Pros:farm-to-table in a gorgeous outdoor or indoor setting
Cons: traffic noise due to proximity to main thoroughfare, when seated outside
Best For: fresh ingredients delightfully prepared, innovative architecture, wines for purchase

Farmstead, adjacent to Long Meadow Ranch's tasting room, graces the wine country town of St. Helena. Eat local, sustainable, organically grown produce, just picked from the garden. They've got the wood-burning oven and cast iron grills caramelizing meats and veggies to perfection. If you bring your own wine, no corkage fee however $2 per bottle is donated to a local NPO.
Inside for granite, redwood, stone and salvaged hay-hook fixtures. Outside dine beside espalier apple trees.

Recent seasonal faves: caramelized beets with goat cheese crema and greens, brick cooked chicken and cannelini beans blended with spinach and pistou.
