Cookin'/Lower Haight

Pros: Recycled gourmet appurtenances galore
Cons: Must have lots of time to hunt and peck
Best For: Finding that kitchen tool your mother used daily when you were a child

Fortunately for us, baker Judith Kaminsky's collection of kitchen tools and accessories, became a shop in 1981. From delicate teacups to vintage cast iron skillets, it's all here. Cookin' Don't be afraid to inquire about the history and/or use of a particular tool, or to express an interest in being reunited with the baking dishes your mom used to make lasagna in. Come with a vehicle so you can load it up with mixing bowls, stock pots and whisks from another era. If you have a kitchen, you can't leave here empty-handed.
